May I be worthy

May I be worthy of your loving glance,
Catching me steal a glimpse and meet my eyes,
Melt through this troubled heart, see through this guise,
Look at the boy just hoping for a chance.

May I be worthy of your loving thought,
In tiny moments the busy day could spare,
Bring up a smile in your times of despair,
And kindle the joys you may have forgot.

May I be worthy of your loving hand,
To hold mine and pull me out of this maze,
Walk by my side through the rest of our days,
Bring to life all of my castles of sand.

May I be worthy, my life be the cost,
Let not my love’s loving labors be lost.
